New Bridgewater Bridge Project

Environmental Management

Environmental management is playing a critical role in ensuring impacts to the project land’s ecology, Aboriginal Heritage and Historic Heritage values are minimised throughout construction. The project has more than 20 project-specific environmental management plans in place, which outline the environmental control measures that are being implemented and monitored throughout construction.

These management plans aim to minimise impacts on soil, water, flora, fauna and Aboriginal Heritage and Historic Heritage while ensuring waste and hazardous materials, stormwater and emissions are managed appropriately. Impact studies continue to be conducted on a regular basis to maintain a current understanding of the project’s impacts, allowing responsiveness to emerging environmental issues.
