Work starts to build new Bridgewater boat ramp and jetty – August 2025

Work to build a new boat ramp and jetty on the Bridgewater foreshore started on Monday, 25 August 2025, and is expected to take around 10 weeks, finishing in late November.

These new facilities replace the previous ramp and jetty, which were closed in 2022 ahead of the New Bridgewater Bridge works.

The project includes a new boat ramp, jetty, parking and turning bay for trailers, and landscaping along Nielsen Esplanade.

Work will be done both on land and water, using a small barge for marine works, within the existing construction zone at the northern end of the bridge.

An exclusion zone will remain in place around the marine area.

Work will take place during daylight hours on weekdays (6:00am–6:00pm), with occasional Saturday work.
