Notification of piling work for temporary bridge - December 2022

As part of the New Bridgewater Bridge Project, piling work will commence for construction of the temporary bridge near Nielsen Esplanade, Bridgewater in the week commencing Monday 5 December 2022, weather permitting. This piling activity will move from the north to the south, and will include the use of a crane and a special hammer to drive the piles into the ground – there will be some noise and vibration impact during this work. Typically, piling will occur for up to four hours every second day. Some days it will be less often, and on other days there may be more piling. When completed in about May 2023, this temporary bridge will facilitate the construction of the new permanent bridge. All piling work will take place during standard construction hours of 7am to 6pm from Monday to Friday, and 8am to 6pm Saturdays. No piling will take place on Sundays or public holidays
